The big news of the week is that my story "Magdala Amygdala" won a Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Short Fiction! The awards ceremony was held on June 15, 2013 at the historic Hotel Monteleone in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans.

Gary and I were at the Stokers this weekend in California, and we had a great time. Gary and I will be going to the World Horror convention in Salt Lake City tomorrow; I'm not scheduled for any panels or readings but I'll be meeting with my agent on Friday and doing a novel pitch to a publisher on Saturday so it's going to be a reasonably busy convention business-wise.
